Red-tapism, legal provisions to let defaulter PIOs go off introduced via Uttar Pradesh RTI rules 2015 to take Soul out of ailing RTI act’s body.

TOI may report otherwise but we do not subscribe to what TOI is saying
on Uttar Pradesh RTI rules 2015.

The introduction of formats for everything right from seeking
information to filing second appeal is more than enough to kill the
RTI act in UP by the hands of incapable, duffer and sycophant
Info-commissioners. We all know that recently DOPT too made it clear
that forms cannot be introduced for seeking RTI but it appears that
SCIC of UP & Ex. Chief Secretary of UP has paid back to government and
overlooked this very fact.

Transfer of proceedings from the bench to the other is just like
passing the buck from one joker to the other as almost all are alike
and it won't be so simple also.

Empowering any party of the proceeding to seek adjournment of hearing
mean that PIOs shall never appear in UPSIC now.

Empowering any party to the proceeding to move an application to the
commission to withdraw its order will mean legalizing bribe to
info-commissioners to reverse penalty orders.

Abating proceedings pending before the commission on any complaint or
appeal on the death of the complainant or appellant is against the
spirit of RTI act. This simply means that now more n more RTI
activists shall be killed in UP just to finish the RTI chapter
courtesy Jawed Usmani & Party.

Though Akhilesh Yadav & his PAPA talks of URDU URDU URDU but What is
this that a person filing a complaint or appeal filed in URDU shall
have to file a certified authenticated translation in Hindi or English
along with the original document.

We are up in arms against these rules and need support of all to fight
it till we win. Shame on UP Cabinet, Shame on Jawed Usmani.

Wonder, why TOI failed to take version of any RTI activist in UP. Is
TOI team in UP has been sold out in hands of the anti-transparency
corrupts. Shame on Times of India, Shame on Times of India UP
reporting team.
